Mini me

I attended a workshop at my friend Ari's house and we made these mini cards.

They are just georgeous.  Not my idea.  Credit goes to Teresa the 'Stampin up' demonstrator for these wonderful creations and another enjoyable night at Ari's.

Recycled Paper fish tank

Thanks to Joel from 'Made by Joel' we made this paper aquarium using as much recycled materials as we possibly could.

First I printed out the images on paper then the boys got crafty and watercoloured the images.
Add a little glue and stick them to old cereal boxes leaving the brown side on the back which I was going to paint but haven't got there yet.

Leave for about a day then cut out the shapes.  I used fine transparent sewing thread to hang mine then added the finishing touch......create coral from brown paper (I have no idea how I did this....I just did).

Stick it down with glue, insert the buttons into the slots and let the kids play.  I might just get them to take this into school for show and tell.  You could dress these up with glitter and add celophane for water.

Check out Joel's blog.  It's awesome! and includes the detailed tutorial http://madebyjoel.blogspot.com/2010/05/wall-hanging-box-aquarium.html

Add a little pepper and salt

"I'm youth, I'm joy, I'm a little bird that has broken out of the egg".

Our boys certainly love eggs and whenever I ask 'what would you like for lunch or dinner?' they always scream EGGS.

As a result, we are looking at buying little chicks as pets for the boys.  Nothing better than a productive pet I say!

Here are all three boys making scrambled eggs today.  The best part for Declan was grinding the pepper, for Lucas it was mixing the eggs and for Nici is was licking the salt.

You can see through all of this Lucas was focussed and concentrating on mixing those eggs.

Our boys are going to be future Heston Blumenthals!  I hope :)

What pond?

You may recall my previous post where my darling husband filled in our pond.

Here is the final picture with new grass (which the kangaroos love).

Now we are left with one big patch of grass for the boys to run around on.
